🔥 IMPACTS...Conditions will become favorable for easy ignition and rapid spread of fires due to low relative humidity and strong gusty winds.
The Ridgway, Ouray, and Log Hill Fire Departments, The Ridgway, Ouray, and Log Hill Fire Departments, along with the Ouray County Emergency Medical Services will be participating in a joint training TODAY, Feb. 19th, in the 8500 block of Highway 62. 

Around noon, there will be a collaborative live burn training with all agencies.except Log Hill Fire. Please expect to see multiple first responders and apparatuses in the area as well as smoke.

All four agencies greatly appreciate this opportunity to collaborate and train together to keep the citizens and property of Ouray County safe.

The Ridgway and Ouray Fire Departments will be conducting a live fire training exercise in the area of County Roads 1 and 24 today. Smoke will be visible. Please do not report.

The Ridgway Fire Department needs your help!

While assisting the Ouray Mountain Rescue Team in the area of the Mt. Sneffels Trailhead late Friday evening, our drone suddenly went offline and is now missing!

It is red and black and has our logo on it (see photos).

Its last know GPS coordinates were 
37.999104, -107.794064

This piece of equipment is vital to our County emergency service agencies.

If you or anyone you know is hiking up either side of Mt Sneffels and happen to see the drone (or are able to grab it if it's in a SAFE and accessible place), please contact the Ridgway Fire Department at the numbers below.

Last night Miss Mia set up her face painting station and donated all of the proceeds to the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department. What a generous and inspiring gift from this young lady. The Ridgway Fire Wildland Team is headed to Arizon The Ridgway Fire Wildland Team is headed to Arizona for their first wildland fire assignment of the season! Wishing them and all the other crews battling wildfires a safe journey and season.

While our team will be back and forth all season fighting fires across the country, Ridgway Fire's remaining 23 firefighters are well prepared for anything this wildland fire season has in store for us here locally.

Also a huge thank you to the Ridgway Marshals Office and especially to OCEMS for not only their support but for coffee and food.

The City of Ouray - Government enters Stage 1 at 12pm today and 

The Town of Ridgway, Colo. remains in Stage 1.
